The OpportunityTechSite is seeking an experienced Director of Commissioning to lead and grow our commissioning practice. This is a senior leadership role for a commissioning professional who combines deep technical expertise, strong people leadership, and client-facing confidence.

You will serve as the authoritative voice for commissioning at TechSite—setting standards, leading teams, ensuring consistent delivery, and representing TechSite to clients and partners across mission-critical projects.

What You’ll Do
Lead, Manage, and Develop the Commissioning Team

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for TechSite’s Commissioning team, setting clear expectations for technical quality, safety, and accountability.
  • Establish and enforce commissioning standards across electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
  • Plan staffing and resource needs to support current projects and future growth.
  • Lead team meetings, technical reviews, and performance discussions.
  • Support training, certifications, and ongoing professional development.

Ensure Successful Project Execution

  • Maintain overall accountability for commissioning execution from project planning through final closeout.
  • Oversee development and completion of all commissioning deliverables, including Owner’s Project Requirements reviews, sequences of operation, test procedures, schedules, issue logs, and final reports.
  • Ensure projects remain aligned with defined scope, schedule, and quality expectations while proactively addressing risks and issues.
  • Delegate site-level execution responsibilities while retaining ownership for outcomes and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular project and task reviews to monitor progress, identify gaps, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure commissioning closeout packages, lessons learned, and turnover documentation are complete, accurate, and properly archived.

Serve as the Client-Facing Commissioning Leader

  • Act as TechSite’s primary commissioning representative for clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead client meetings with clarity, confidence, and technical credibility.
  • Provide proactive reporting, issue identification, and problem-solving.
  • Build trusted relationships with client leadership.
  • Support business development through proposal support, presentations, and pre-sales discussions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand commissioning services and deepen client partnerships.

Provide Technical Leadership

  • Step in hands-on for complex, high-risk, or high-visibility commissioning efforts as needed.
  • Review and approve commissioning scripts, test procedures, and results.
  • Support integrated systems testing and critical commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with client safety programs and commissioning requirements.
  • Maintain professional certifications and continuing education.

Contribute as a Member of the Leadership Team

  • Participate in leadership and operational planning.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Construction, Facilities, and Maintenance leaders.
  • Identify and help resolve organizational challenges.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 7+ years of leadership experience in commissioning or engineering of data center systems.

    Key Responsibilities:
    As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead and execute projects from concept through completion while mentoring engineers and serving as a trusted client partner.     • Design and implement solutions for mission-critical electrical systems.

You will play a key role in maintaining project momentum, reducing friction, and ensuring commissioning activities are completed accurately, on time, and in alignment with TechSite’s processes.

      What You’ll Do

      The Commissioning Project Coordinator plays a critical support role within the Commissioning (Cx) group, working closely with the Director of Commissioning and Cx Team Leads to ensure projects run smoothly from planning through closeout. This position serves as the organizational and communication hub for commissioning activities, maintaining schedules, documentation, training records, and resource coordination. The Project Coordinator ensures alignment across people, systems, and deliverables so that commissioning teams can execute efficiently and consistently.

      Your Responsibilities

      Ensure Commissioning Project Execution and Tracking

      • Own day to day coordination, tracking, and administrative execution of commissioning projects
      • Assist in developing and maintaining commissioning project plans, schedules, and timelines
      • Maintain visibility into tasks, milestones, and deliverables across all active commissioning efforts
      • Track required commissioning deliverables from project kickoff through closeout
      • Proactively identify gaps, delays, or risks and elevate issues to the Director of Commissioning or Cx Team Leads
      • Support corrective actions to keep projects aligned with scope, schedule, and client expectations

      Manage Commissioning Documentation and Reporting

      • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and organization of all commissioning documentation
      • Maintain commissioning records within online construction/commissioning software and the TechSite network
      • Monitor submission of Daily Commissioning Reports, checklists, and test documentation
      • Maintain consistent document control and version management across projects
      • Prepare clear project status updates, dashboards, and progress reports for leadership visibility

      Serve as Central Communication and Coordination Hub

      • Act as the primary administrative and coordination hub for the commissioning team
      • Distribute project updates and coordinate information flow between Cx Team Leads, Engineering, and Leadership
      • Receive and review new client administrative requirements and test script publications
      • Communicate potential impacts of client updates to the Director and support implementation planning
      • Manage and track engineering support requests from commissioning personnel through closure

      Support Commissioning Team Readiness and Training

      • Support the Director in maintaining commissioning team readiness across active projects
      • Track training records, certifications, and onboarding requirements for commissioning personnel
      • Maintain access credentials, badges, and administrative readiness for active project sites
      • Support development, upkeep, and organization of commissioning training materials and internal resources

      Provide Emergency and Field Support as Required

      • Maintain baseline familiarity with active projects to support limited emergency commissioning coverage
      • Provide emergency Level 4 or Level 5 commissioning support when required due to unexpected staffing gaps
      • Assist the Director during site visits for general project awareness and observation of work practices

      Required Skills and Qualifications

      • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
      • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
      • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and tracking

      What You’ll Do

      As a Support Commissioning Specialist, you’ll work alongside Lead Engineers to execute testing, validate systems, and assemble documentation for critical environments. You’ll play a key role in project commissioning (Cx) activities from planning and testing to documentation and issue resolution.

      Your Responsibilities:

      • Coordinate with the Owner’s Commissioning Agent, clients, contractors, and startup teams to ensure all commissioning activities meet project and safety requirements.
      • Participate in or lead commissioning coordination meetings and maintain regular communication via email, text, and phone.
      • Conduct site reviews to verify that installed equipment and control systems align with design documents and specifications.
      • Support and witness system startups, validate sensor calibration using approved devices, and assist in troubleshooting when systems deviate from expected performance.
      • Document and track commissioning issues in the client’s Cx Issues Log; follow up to ensure resolution.
      • Perform functional testing and daily post-test walkthroughs to confirm systems are left in approved operating modes.
      • Submit accurate and timely documentation, including daily reports, updated test scripts, Load Bank Plans, and other commissioning deliverables per client schedules.
      • Assist with compiling test data and assembling final commissioning reports.
      • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and supporting internal training or certification efforts.
